National Service for Pregnancy and Rheumatic Diseases (NKSR) is located in Trondheim, Norway, and is affiliated with the Department of Rheumatology at St. Olavs Hospital, Trondheim University Hospital.
It is well known that there is an interaction between rheumatic diseases and pregnancy. Rheumatic disorders frequently affect women of fertile age. Both men and women with these disorders have questions and concerns about having children. NKSR aims to be a resource for these patients and their families, as well as to other health professionals, by providing current information and counselling regarding the many aspects surrounding rheumatic diseases and pregnancy, as well as the challenges of being a parent with a rheumatic disease.
NKSR is also a research institution, aiming to get further insight into the field of rheumatic diseases and pregnancy, and has issued a series of publications on the topic.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or want to know more about NKSR.
