Norwegian National Headache Centre

Norwegian National Headache Center is located in adjacent to the Department of Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology. We are located in the Neuro Center's East Wing, 3rd floor.

Patients are treated at the outpatient clinic at the Neurological unit.

Norwegian  National Headache Center is an independent economic unit within the Department of neurology and clinical neurophysiology, with a strong connection to the Department of Neuroscience, the Medical Faculty of NTNU (University).

The objectives are to promote a science-based understanding of the phenomenon of headaches and work for a rational assessment and treatment reaches out to most patients.

Patient Care: According to the government regulations the Centre are not treating patients. However, it is natural that those who work with competence centers may have patients through collaboration with clinical departments. At the Norwegian National Headache center the doctors will treat patients at the neurological clinic / department to the extent they are able to do so. The center or department has no obligation to accept patients from all over the country.
